The International Day of Charity was established with the objective of sensitizing and mobilizing people, NGOs, and stakeholders all around the world to to help others through volunteer and philanthropic activities.The date of 5 September was chosen in order to commemorate the anniversary of the passing away of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
On September 5th 2023 in New York at the headquarters of the United Nations was presented our heart project, which we have supported for the last 10 years – the film “Mother Teresa and Me” (Switzerland, India, UK).
We from innoMedicus had the privilege of attending a parallel Charity Evening in Zurich, as part of the International Charity Day recognized by the United Nations. The proceeds from this event were directed towards various noble causes, including the Zariya Foundation.
Their mission extends beyond the release of the film "Mother Teresa & Me" – they aspire to inspire and motivate people of all ages and backgrounds worldwide to reflect on their values and actively promote respect, tolerance, compassion, peace, and justice in their personal lives.
During the evening, we witnessed not only the concrete progress made towards realizing this vision but also the inaugural projects funded by the film's earnings, specifically aimed at supporting the education and health of underprivileged children, especially girls. It was a privilege for innoMedicus to be a part of this remarkable film project as a donor.
The evening left us truly inspired, reinforcing our belief in the power of collaboration and commitment. May this evening in Zurich encourage us all to uphold our values and advocate for what is right. In these challenging times, such moments serve as a reminder that together, we can achieve greatness. As innoMedicus, we take pride in being a part of this meaningful narrative and look forward to continuing our positive impact on the world.
