Film Kavita & Teresa inspires people to think about true values in life
September 2021

We are very much looking forward to the premiere of the feature film Kavita & Teresa, which will take place within the framework of the 17th Zurich Film Festival and the 36th AGM & Movie Night of the SICC (Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce) on September 30th in Zurich.

For us at innoMedicus it was a privilege to support as a donor this great project, which actively works to improve the living conditions of the poorest of the poor. All proceeds from the film will be donated to humanitarian organizations working for the health and education of poor, sick, abandoned and disabled children in India.

The film by Swiss-Indian filmmaker Kamal Musale is a contemporary drama and an epic biopic about Mother Teresa, which inspires to look at one's own values and to live compassion, respect and love in one's personal environment.

Two parallel stories interwoven across generations about Mother Teresa (played by the Swiss actress Jacqueline Fritschi-Cornaz) and Kavita (played by the UK actress Banita Sandhu), an Indian-Canadian privileged young woman from Toronto, who both realize their calling despite great personal doubts.

Behind the film Kavita & Teresa is the Swiss foundation Zariya, whose goals coincide with our values:

  • to inspire all ages and population groups to persevere with their personal goals and humanitarian values even in times of hardship;
  • to improve the circumstances as well as the standards of health and education of underprivileged children in India;
  • to advance Mother Teresa`s vision “Love in Action” for every individual to live a compassionate, respectful, and tolerant life.

Kavita & Teresa is a captivating movie that we at innoMedicus encourage you to watch. Let yourself be inspired by the stories of these two powerful women and reflect upon your own values and beliefs!
